The Haryana government is implementing strict measures to curb illegal mining, with the Mining Department maintaining close surveillance. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, Director General of Mines and Geology, Sh. K. M. Pandurang, is personally overseeing operations and issuing directives to ensure transparency and eliminate unlawful activities in the sector.
Providing details on the matter, a department spokesperson stated that during an inspection in Faridabad, officials intercepted two dumper trucks transporting minerals without valid E-Ravana bills. Additionally, two tractor-trolleys near Billauch village were found without proper documentation. As per regulations, all four vehicles have been seized at the respective police station.
The spokesperson further emphasized the Haryana government’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal mining through continuous monitoring at the departmental level. Surprise inspections are being conducted across districts to identify violations, and strict action is being taken against offenders. The primary objective of this initiative is to promote transparency in mining operations and prevent the uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources. The government has made it clear that illegal mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved.
