The NCB and Delhi Police took decisive action, seizing methamphetamine, MDMA, and cocaine valued at ₹27.4 crore, and apprehending five individuals. I commend the NCB and Delhi Police for this remarkable achievement.”

Acting on intelligence about an imminent exchange of high-quality methamphetamine in the Chhatarpur area of Delhi, a joint team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Special Cell of Delhi Police conducted surveillance on the suspects. This led to the interception of a vehicle carrying 5.103 kilograms of high-quality crystal methamphetamine, valued at approximately ₹10.2 crore. The operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals, including four African nationals from influential families in Nigeria.
Following sustained on-the-spot interrogation and technical tracking, it was discovered that the seized contraband was linked to an “African Kitchen” in Tilak Nagar, West Delhi. A search of the premises led to the recovery of 1.156 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 4.142 kilograms of Afghan heroin, and 5.776 kilograms of MDMA (Ecstasy pills), with an estimated worth of ₹16.4 crore. Further investigation at a rented apartment in Greater Noida uncovered 389 grams of Afghan heroin and 26 grams of cocaine.
The investigation also revealed that this syndicate was actively involved in facilitating African youth in drug trafficking under the guise of student visas for private universities in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Punjab. In many cases, these visas served merely as a front, while the individuals engaged in drug distribution and cryptocurrency-based transactions. Efforts are ongoing to trace both upstream and downstream connections within this drug network.
