Speaking to the media, Samit said, “I feel wonderful, awesome… on top of the world! It still hasn’t completely sunk in.” His excitement reflects the months of dedication and consistency that paid off.
Unlike many high scorers who follow rigid, coaching-driven schedules, Samit took a more balanced approach. “I didn’t have a fixed timetable or strategy. My only goal was to complete the syllabus a month before the exams and then focus on solving past year papers and sample questions,” he explained.
Samit managed his time in a way that kept him refreshed and focused. He ensured he played sports and listened to music every day to avoid burnout. “That one hour of downtime made a big difference. It helped me stay calm and clear-headed,” he added.
During the early phase of his preparation, Samit studied for about three to four hours daily. As the exams approached, he increased his study hours to around eight per day. His marks show the results of his effort — he achieved perfect scores in Mathematics, Science, History-Civics & Geography, and Computer Applications.
Samit’s parents credited his success to his self-discipline and the strong support system provided by teachers and family. “We didn’t pressurize him. We gave him the space to find his own pace and method. Our role was to be emotionally present and remind him to believe in himself,” they said.
His story is already inspiring many students and parents across India. In a year when academic pressure has been a hot topic, Samit’s balanced and practical approach offers a refreshing reminder that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of mental health.
The ICSE Exams for Class 10 results for 2025 saw several students cross the 99% mark, but Samit’s story stands out for the calm confidence with which he approached one of the most competitive academic milestones in the country.
With dreams of IIT ahead and the support of his family and school, this Bengaluru boy is indeed “on top of the world.”
