Deputy CM Arun Saoattended the two-day Viraat Sant Samagam at Kabir Ashram at Selud in Patan block of Durg district as the chief guest today. MP Vijay Baghel was also present as a special guest in this Sant Samagam organised by the head of Kabir Ashram and Sahitya Vedantacharya Mahant Sukrit Das Shastri. The Deputy Chief Minister announced Rs 25 lakh for the construction of the dome at the venue of the ashram on the demand of the saints. He also assured to fulfil the other demands of the Ashram.
Deputy CM Arun Sao Saw while addressing the Sant Samagam said that saints give guidance to the society. Sant Kabir has described the conduct of life. His words are still relevant today. There are believers all over the country. In this ashram, even in the midst of various deprivations, you are engaged in spreading Kabir’s ideas to the people. He said that all of you are making people aware by taking the voice of Sant Kabir to the masses. Social awareness is necessary for the development of the country. Today, the state government and the central government are working together to raise the economic level of the people and make every family self-reliant. With the blessings of saints, this work will also be completed.
MP Vijay Baghel said that Sant Samagam has been organised in this ashram for the last 60 years. Greeting all the saints, he said, “I have got the blessings of the ashram. God dwelt in Kabir’s voice. Kabir’s voice is still alive. We all have to imbibe the path shown by Kabir in life. He assured to complete the work of construction of bathrooms and toilets in the ashram soon. In the Sant Samagam, Shri Parameshwar Saheb, Shri Bhupat Saheb and State President of Sahu Samaj Shri Tahal Singh Sahu along with local public representatives and followers of Sant Kabir participated in large numbers.
