Regina Ventura: We Gave Sean Diddy $20K Because We Were Terrified
In an ongoing trial, Sean Diddy Combs has been accused of serious federal crimes, including sex trafficking and racketeering, which have made headlines worldwide. One of the most shocking revelations came from the mother of Sean Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Regina Ventura, who testified in court that she and her husband, Rodrick Ventura, paid $20,000 to Combs out of fear for their daughter’s safety. Regina testified that she and her husband, Rodrick Ventura, paid Sean Diddy $20,000—an amount she says they raised through a home equity loan—out of fear for their daughter’s safety. According to her court statement, the payment came after Sean ‘Diddy’ allegedly demanded compensation for the money he had spent on Cassie during their relationship. His anger reportedly stemmed from learning about Cassie’s past relationship with rapper Kid Cudi.
Regina claimed that Sean Diddy insisted on receiving the money because he felt betrayed and wanted to “recoup” his financial contributions. She also revealed she had seen physical marks on her daughter’s body and took photos to document what she believed was abuse at the hands of Sean Diddy.
Cassie, now 38, gave her own testimony last week, detailing what she described as a deeply controlling and abusive 11-year relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’. Among her claims were forced participation in drug-fueled sex acts with escorts—referred to in court as “Freak-Offs”—and psychological manipulation. She admitted that while she often kept the abuse a secret from her mother due to shame and fear, her mother’s intuition often raised red flags.
Cassie also recalled a time when her mother called the police during a violent altercation with Sean Diddy over infidelity. In a 2007 interview, she had spoken fondly of her parents, saying, “My parents raised me right. I work hard, and I want to prove I deserve what I have.”
Now, in court, those same parents are recounting the lengths they went to in order to protect their daughter—including paying Sean Diddy directly to appease his anger.
Sean Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. If convicted, the music mogul could face life in prison.
