Uttarakhand NEWS : Uttarakhand Investment Festival 2025 is working with transparency, speed and foresight, says Union Home Minister Amit Shah the Dhami Government At the Uttarakhand Investment Festival 2025 held in Rudrapur, the Union Minister appreciated the efforts of the State Government Developed India by 2047. He said the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had worked to create three new states – Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh – along with Uttarakhand. Today, these three states are standing on their own feet. He said that at one time it was said that while developing infrastructure, the welfare of the poor of the country is not possible. The Modi government is providing food security to the poor by giving them five kilograms of free food grains, as well as providing free treatment up to five lakh rupees to 55 crore people. During this period, 16 crore households were provided with tap water for the first time, 12 crore households were provided with toilets, 13 crore families were provided with free LPG cylinders. During the tenure of the Modi government, three crore houses got electricity for the first time, four crore people were given pucca houses. Developed Uttarakhand for Developed India “Modi ji has envisioned a developed India by 2047, but it is not possible to achieve the goal of a developed India without a developed Uttarakhand. For the overall development of the country, the development of the states of the North East including the smaller states is also necessary. The government is focusing on it. He said that Uttarakhand is anyway the land of Jyotirlinga, Shaktipeeth, Par Badri, Panch Kedar and Panch Prayag, no one can stop the development of this state. The Chief Minister said that under the Global Investors Summit 2023, out of the investment agreements of more than Rs. 3.56 lakh crore, investment proposals of more than Rs. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is continuously working towards industrial development in the State. More than 30 policies including Industrial Policy, Logistic Policy, Startup Policy, MSME Policy are being implemented in the state to provide a better environment to the industries in the state. A venture fund of Rs 200 crore has been set up for start-ups. The facility of “Nivesh Mitra” is being provided for investment promotion in the state. Aroma Park at Kashipur, Plastic Park at Sitarganj, Electronics Manufacturing Cluster at Kashipur, Multimodal Logistic Park at Pantnagar have been set up. The Industrial Smart City to be set up in Khurpiya at a cost of about Rs.1300 crore will also prove to be important in the direction of industrial development of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has got the category of Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startup Ranking. Online facilities are being provided in more than 260 professional services in the state. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan said that Uttarakhand has managed to carve a niche for itself as an investor friendly, reliable, competitive and future ready destination. He said that the state of Uttarakhand is ready to provide all possible support to the investors through a peaceful environment as well as efficient administration. Speaking on the occasion, Patanjali Group Founder Baba Ramdev said that the state of Uttarakhand is the crown of Bharat Mata. He said that the state government is trying to move ahead with nature and environment. Uttarakhand has declared the best wellness policy. The state is making remarkable progress in the field of solar energy, hydro power. Baba Ramdev also praised Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for implementing the Uniform Civil Code. Dr Sunil Rai, Chairman, UPES said that most of the educational institutions in Uttarakhand are accredited by some institution or the other, which shows the quality of teaching here.
He said his institute, along with the Uttarakhand government, is contributing to the development of the state. He said that connectivity in Uttarakhand has now improved a lot, which makes the investment opportunities here even more lucrative. With more than 10 research institutes in the state, educational institutions also benefit from it. Naini Papers Managing Director Pawan Agarwal said his company has started production from its new state-of-the-art plant, creating 300 new jobs. He said that they are making paper from sugarcane bagasse, as well as the wood used in the plant is also 100 percent agricultural produce. Growing trees as agricultural produce is not only benefiting the environment but also increasing the income of farmers.
