The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the ongoing India-England series. Additionally, pacer Arshdeep Singh will not be available for the fourth Test match at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Nitish Kumar Reddy’s Injury
According to BCCI, Reddy sustained an injury to his left knee and will return home to begin his rehabilitation. While the exact cause of the injury was not disclosed, sources indicate he may have picked it up during a gym session on Sunday.
Reddy had previously suffered an injury during the white-ball series against England in India and had undergone treatment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He was later declared fit to participate in the IPL, where he bowled only 30 deliveries and batted in the middle order for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
During the England tour, however, Reddy made a strong impression by claiming vital wickets in both innings of the Lord’s Test. He also contributed with the bat, playing determined innings, although he couldn’t convert them into significant scores.
Arshdeep Singh’s Injury
Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the fourth Test due to a left thumb injury sustained while bowling during a practice session at Beckenham. The BCCI has confirmed that its medical team is closely monitoring his recovery.

In light of these developments, pacer Anshul Kamboj has been added to the Indian squad and has joined the team in Manchester ahead of the fourth Test.
