Haryana News : The Haryana State Transport Department is consistently working towards providing safe, reliable, and timely travel services across the state. In line with this commitment, special transport arrangements have been made to facilitate the smooth conduct of the CET Group-C examination scheduled for July 26 and 27.
According to a department spokesperson, the Transport Department has been assigned the responsibility of ensuring the safe commute of candidates to and from examination centers, which have been established across all districts, including Chandigarh.
To support this, the department will deploy nearly 12,000 buses to operate according to both examination shifts. For the morning session (10:00 AM – 11:45 AM), buses will drop candidates at the nearest exam center bus stop by 7:00 AM. For the afternoon session (3:15 PM – 5:00 PM), transportation will be available by 12:00 noon. Additionally, wherever possible, free shuttle services will be arranged from drop-off points to the actual exam venues.
The spokesperson added that one accompanying family member of female candidates will also be allowed to use the free bus service. Candidates only need to present their admit cards to avail of this facility. All candidates are encouraged to reach their nearest depot or sub-depot bus stand well in advance to utilize the free transport effectively.
Due to the large number of buses assigned for exam duty, only a limited number will be available for the general public on these two days. Therefore, citizens are advised to travel only if absolutely necessary.
The spokesperson also highlighted that Haryana State Transport operates about 4,000 buses through 24 depots and 13 sub-depots, covering nearly 11 lakh kilometers and serving around 10 lakh passengers daily. Ensuring safe and inclusive travel, fulfilling social duties, and delivering government services efficiently remain the department’s top priorities.
