Haryana News : Haryana’s Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, SCs & BCs Welfare, and Antyodaya (SEWA), Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi, stated that August 17 will be a landmark day for Narwana in Jind district, as Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini will address a public gathering at the New Grain Market. During the event, he will announce development projects worth crores of rupees, aimed at accelerating the region’s progress and tackling its developmental challenges.
He emphasized that the present state government is fully committed to the welfare of the poor, Dalits, women, youth, and farmers. Under the Antyodaya mission, the administration is ensuring that government schemes reach every deserving individual, fostering inclusive growth across Haryana. He expressed confidence that the state is steadily advancing toward becoming a leader in education, safety, and social welfare.
The Minister was speaking during a ‘Dhyanawadi Daura’ at Kanya Gurukul in village Kharal, part of the Narwana Assembly constituency. On this occasion, he announced development projects worth ₹15 crore for the village and inaugurated as well as laid the foundation stones for five key projects totaling ₹97 lakh. These included the foundation of Valmiki Chaupals in Sahu Patti and Basau Patti (₹25 lakh each), inauguration of a newly constructed Langar Hall (₹25 lakh), a library set up at ₹13.5 lakh, and a newly built street worth ₹8.5 lakh.
He also announced that the Gurukul would soon receive an ambulance and ten computers to support the students.
Additionally, the Minister shared updates on major infrastructure works, including the installation of a new drinking water pipeline and booster system in the village at a cost of ₹9.98 crore. Roads have been constructed from village Kharal to Dhabi Tek Singh (₹1.90 crore), Dhamtan Sahib (₹1.23 crore), from Hamirgarh to Kharal Anaaj Mandi (₹33 lakh), and from Kharal to Pipaltha (₹33 lakh).
He further assured the villagers that nearly two dozen pending demands of the Gram Panchayat will soon be fulfilled, and he announced a grant of ₹5.51 lakh for the Langar Hall
