Actor Jeremy Renner, widely recognized for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has shared harrowing details about his severe snowplough accident that occurred earlier this year. The 54-year-old recounted the traumatic event during an appearance on The View, filmed in May but released on August 5, while promoting his memoir My Next Breath.
On New Year’s Day 2023, Jeremy Renner’s life changed drastically when he jumped out of a cab to save his nephew from a runaway 14,000-pound snowplough. The heavy vehicle crushed him, resulting in 30 broken bones and near-fatal injuries.
In his memoir, Renner revealed the surreal experience of the accident, writing, “I know I died–in fact, I’m sure of it” as he lay on the driveway to his house after the crash. Despite the severity of the incident, the actor survived and has been open about his recovery journey.
