The Haryana Government has reached a significant milestone by signing the State Support Agreement (SSA) and Shareholder Agreement (SHA) with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) for setting up an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Hisar under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) project.
Spread across 2,988 acres near the newly inaugurated Maharaja Agrasen International Airport, the IMC Hisar involves a project cost of ₹4,680 crore and holds an investment potential of ₹32,417 crore, with the capacity to generate over 1.25 lakh jobs. Situated between the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors and well-connected through NH-52, NH-09, railway lines, and major logistics hubs, the cluster promises world-class connectivity and strategic advantages for investors.
Designed to act as a catalyst for industrial expansion, the IMC Hisar will enhance Haryana’s status as a premier industrial hub in North India. It is expected to attract domestic and global investors, strengthen the Make in India initiative, and contribute to India’s emergence as a global manufacturing leader.
The signing of these agreements demonstrates the shared commitment of the Government of India and the Haryana Government to build state-of-the-art industrial infrastructure, generate large-scale employment, and create sustainable growth opportunities for the youth.
This transformative project is set to turn Hisar into a vibrant industrial and economic hub, further solidifying Haryana’s reputation as a preferred investment destination and accelerating the state’s industrial growth.
The agreements were signed by Sh. Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD of NICDC, Smt. Amneet P. Kumar, Commissioner & Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, Haryana, and Sh. Narhari Singh Banger, MD of Haryana Airports Development Corporation (HADC).
