The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially announced that the first phase of the highly anticipated Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be held on November 6, covering 121 constituencies across the state. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 14, while the current tenure of the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly will conclude on November 22.

Over 7.43 Crore Voters to Decide Political Future

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, in a recent press briefing, revealed that more than 7.43 crore voters, including over 14 lakh first-time voters, will be eligible to cast their votes in this crucial election phase. The ECI plans to set up over 90,000 polling stations to facilitate smooth and secure voting.

“This year’s Bihar elections will be among the most transparent, secure, and technologically advanced in Indian history,” Kumar said, highlighting the Election Commission’s commitment to free and fair elections.
