In a major boost to rural education, Water Resources Minister and Pushkar MLA Suresh Singh Rawat on Wednesday inaugurated two newly constructed classrooms and a veranda at the Government Senior Secondary School in Nadi-2 village, located in Pushkar constituency of Ajmer district.
The construction was completed under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan at an estimated cost of ₹24.58 lakh, reflecting the government’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in rural areas.
Grand Welcome by Villagers and Students
The inauguration ceremony witnessed a festive atmosphere as local villagers, students, and staff gathered in large numbers. Schoolgirls performed a traditional welcome by applying tilak and tying raksha sutra on the minister’s wrist, while residents showered petals and offered garlands to honor him.
Villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Minister Rawat for the school’s recent upgrade to senior secondary level, emphasizing that his consistent efforts have infused new energy and direction into rural education in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Suresh Singh Rawat reiterated the state government’s vision to make quality education accessible and effective for every child. “A strong and inclusive education system is the backbone of a progressive society.
