Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Sai Baba in the 1977 film Shirdi Ke Sai Baba, has been hospitalised and is reportedly in critical condition due to a severe sepsis infection. The actor, aged 86, has also played notable roles such as Govardhan Virani in the popular Star Plus serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Sudhir Dalvi’s Health Condition
According to reports, Sudhir Dalvi was admitted to the hospital on October 8 after experiencing severe discomfort and loss of mobility in his limbs. His wife revealed to India Today that the infection has spread to his blood, affecting multiple joints, making recovery extremely slow. She said,
“We never anticipated something like this. It has been emotionally and financially challenging for us.”
The family has already spent nearly Rs 10 lakh on treatment, and medical expenses are expected to rise to around Rs 15 lakh. They have also reached out to fans and the film fraternity for assistance during this difficult time.

Riddhima Kapoor Offers Help
Reacting to the news shared on Instagram by Viral Bhayani, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, sister of actor Ranbir Kapoor, commented, “Done . Wishing him a speedy recovery.”
Her comment quickly caught the attention of social media users. When asked why she mentioned her help publicly, Riddhima responded, “Everything in life is not about optics. Helping someone in need in whatever capacity you can is the biggest blessing.”
