Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates BharatKool Adhyay-2, emphasizes state’s key role in achieving Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, youth engagement, cultural preservation, and inclusive development.
Ahmedabad: Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the second edition of BharatKool Adhyay-2, organized by the Gujarat Media Club at Gujarat University on Friday. Speaking at the event, CM Patel emphasized that Gujarat will play a pivotal role in realizing the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, while lauding the media for its constructive role in promoting transparency and supporting state development initiatives.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also attended the event, highlighting the importance of Bhav, Raag, and Taal—emotional expression, melody, and rhythm—in Gujarat’s cultural and developmental journey. He appreciated the organizers for choosing these unique themes for the BharatKool program, which aims to connect youth with India’s rich cultural heritage.
Gujarat’s Cultural and Developmental Milestones
CM Bhupendra Patel stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 2025 is shaping up as a landmark year for celebrating India’s cultural and historical achievements. Gujarat has marked the 150th birth anniversaries of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel along with the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram.
He highlighted the recent Rashtriya Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and Bharat Parv celebrations in Ekta Nagar, which showcased India’s diversity and revived traditional cultural practices. CM Patel urged the youth to embrace India’s Sanatan cultural values while progressing with modernity, and stressed that constructive criticism plays a vital role in improving governance and public welfare.

Strengthening Youth Engagement and Cultural Awareness
CM Bhupendra Patel congratulated Gujarat Media Club and Gujarat University for creating a platform that bridges youth with Indian traditions. He urged all stakeholders to work together to achieve the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, asserting that Gujarat will lead the way. The Chief Minister also encouraged the younger generation to uphold Swadeshi values while advancing toward development.
Deputy CM Sanghavi noted Gujarat’s rapid progress under CM Patel’s leadership and the enduring commitment to cultural preservation initiated by Prime Minister Modi. He mentioned that India’s largest music studio is being developed in Vadnagar, with plans for similar facilities in Vadodara. He emphasized that insights and recommendations from research and discussions at events like BharatKool should be integrated into government initiatives to maximize impact.
Role of Media and Community Leaders
Pujya Brahmavihari Swami of BAPS praised the media’s role in revealing the truth and stressed the importance of self-reflection alongside accountability. He commended the Prime Minister’s efforts in positioning India as a Vishwaguru, building on the developmental journey started in Gujarat.
The event was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani, Gujarat Media Club officials including Vice President Dixit Soni and General Secretary Sanjay Pandey, BharatKool founder Malhar Dave, along with media professionals, students, and literature enthusiasts.
BharatKool Adhyay-2 continues the initiative from last year, aiming to engage youth with India’s rich heritage while promoting cultural awareness alongside progressive development goals.
