Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has issued strict instructions to ensure transparency and fairness in the ongoing Lekhpal recruitment process. Following his directives, the Revenue Council has directed the UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) to submit revised details of the selection process within a week.
The state currently has 7,994 vacant Lekhpal positions, which must be re-verified and filled in strict accordance with government rules. CM Yogi Adityanath has emphasized that both vertical and horizontal reservations must be implemented properly, including 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 21% for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 2% for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The CM Yogi Adityanath stern orders came after complaints regarding discrepancies in the selection process. Officials have been instructed to take immediate corrective measures to ensure compliance with recruitment guidelines and maintain transparency throughout.

During a recent ‘Janta Darbar’ at Gorakhnath Temple, CM Yogi Adityanath also addressed grievances of citizens from across the state, instructing officials to resolve issues promptly. A post from the Chief Minister’s office highlighted, “When governance turns service into a resolve, the state writes a new chapter of progress. For over 8.5 years, Uttar Pradesh has been advancing on the path of development with people-centric governance.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister attended the 54th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Nephrology, highlighting UP’s historical and pilgrimage significance. He also noted the state’s progress in healthcare infrastructure, stating that UP now has 80 medical colleges, one in every district, and over 5.5 crore Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards distributed to the poor. Additionally, through the CM Relief Fund, Rs 1,300 crore has been provided to underprivileged citizens in the past year.
CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the transformation of Uttar Pradesh from a Bimaru state to a revenue-surplus state, reinforcing the government’s focus on transparent governance, social welfare, and development initiatives.
