Delhi govt employees get a New Year gift as DDA launches the Karmyogi Housing Scheme offering 1,168 ready-to-move flats in Narela with online booking till March 31.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has rolled out a major relief initiative for central and state government employees as the New Year approaches. Under the newly launched Karmyogi Housing Scheme, a total of 1,168 ready-to-move flats in Narela are now available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the entire booking process kept fully online for convenience.
Exclusive Scheme for Serving and Retired Government Employees
For the first time, DDA has opened a housing scheme exclusively for government employees—both currently employed and retired. All flats under the scheme are fully constructed and ready for immediate possession, reflecting the government’s aim to provide affordable and reliable housing to its workforce.
Online Application Open Until March 31
Applicants can register and book their preferred flat on DDA’s official website until March 31. Registration is mandatory before selecting a unit.
Instant Allotment After Booking
All flats are located in Narela Pocket-9, spread across Sectors A-1 to A-4. To make housing more affordable, DDA has already applied a 25% discount on the base cost of each flat.
Once a flat is booked, DDA will issue the demand-cum-allotment letter within 24 hours, and an SMS notification will also be sent to the applicant. According to DDA Director (PR) Bijoy Patel, the registration process has already begun, and flat bookings will officially start on January 14, coinciding with Makar Sankranti.
Option to Apply for Multiple Flats
Eligible employees are allowed to apply for more than one flat under the scheme. The flat selection process is entirely online. After choosing a unit, the applicant will receive a 15-minute exclusive window, during which no other applicant can select that flat.
15-Minute Special Booking Window
Once a unit is selected, applicants must complete the payment of the booking amount and upload required documents within the 15-minute period. If the process is not completed in time, the window automatically closes and the flat becomes available for others.
Booking Amount and Payment Options
Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, or internet banking. The booking amount is as follows:

3 BHK: ₹10 lakh

2 BHK: ₹4 lakh

1 BHK: ₹50,000
If the applicant chooses to surrender the flat later, the booking amount will be forfeited.
Special Benefits for Divyang Applicants
The scheme includes additional support for differently-abled applicants. They can choose between Hire Purchase and Cash Down payment options. Under hire purchase, 25% of the flat cost must be paid within 60 days of allotment, while the remaining amount can be paid over 15 years in monthly installments. An extra ₹1 lakh concession is also offered.
