AAP organized a Farmer Justice Yatra, bike rally, and public meeting in Dhari, Amreli. Gopal Italia and Manoj Sorathia highlighted farmers’ issues, corruption, and growing support for AAP in Gujarat.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a major political event in Dhari, Amreli, featuring the “Farmer Justice Yatra,” a bike rally, and a public meeting. The event saw the active participation of AAP MLA Gopal Italia and State Organization Secretary Manoj Sorathia, along with several district and local leaders.
Gopal Italia, addressing the gathering, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to address farmers’ issues and local grievances. He remarked, “Not a single BJP leader holds any influence in the markets or even in Gandhinagar. Government offices are merely circus acts with no accountability. Farmers struggle to access fair compensation, while middlemen and agents benefit from schemes like the Minimum Support Price (MSP).”
Italia also highlighted the disparity in government priorities, stating, “Lines form for fertilizer, but there’s never a shortage of alcohol. I plan to write to the Chief Minister suggesting that bootleggers handle fertilizer distribution since they excel in delivering products.” He added that the law seems to intimidate the poor while protecting those in power.
The public meeting also witnessed the induction of over 70–80 former Congress leaders from 20 villages into AAP, signaling a growing political alternative in Gujarat. Manoj Sorathia emphasized, “For years, BJP has claimed there is no alternative in Gujarat, but now the people have chosen AAP as the real option. Our leaders and workers fear no one and remain committed to fighting for the rights of citizens.”
Several prominent local leaders were present, including Junagadh District President Haresh Savaliya, Amreli District President Nikunj Savaliya, LS Incharge Kantibhai Satasia, State Youth President Brijraj Solanki, and other influential figures. Many leaders who joined AAP expressed their support for the party’s vision of transparency, fairness, and active citizen engagement.
Gopal Italia concluded by urging people to remain united and strengthen the movement, stating that AAP’s efforts aim to replace decades of misgovernance with a citizen-centric approach. He affirmed, “This is a party of struggle. One by one, leaders are facing political challenges, but with your blessings and support, we will fight corruption and create a new political dawn in Gujarat.”
The Dhari event underscored AAP’s commitment to becoming a strong political alternative, with a clear focus on farmers, rural communities, and local governance issues. It demonstrated the party’s strategy of combining grassroots outreach with organized campaigns, aiming to challenge entrenched political structures in the state.
