Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started the New Year with a visit to the Marghat Hanuman Temple, seeking blessings from saints and resolving to make Delhi a cleaner, healthier, and happier city in 2026. During her visit, she emphasized the importance of citizen-centric initiatives and instructed officials to implement key public welfare plans within the year.

On January 1, 2026, CM Rekha Gupta visited the Marghat Hanuman Temple, where she met with saints and sought their blessings for the city and its residents. She highlighted Lord Hanuman as a symbol of truth, courage, service, and determination, inspiring citizens to work for public welfare with dedication and positivity.

Following the temple visit, CM Rekha Gupta held a high-level meeting with senior officials from all major departments of the Delhi government at the Delhi Secretariat. She urged officials to design and implement citizen-focused programs and ensure their execution within the year.
The meeting included Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma, department heads, and senior officers. CM Gupta acknowledged the hard work of officials and emphasized their power and authority to bring significant changes. She encouraged officials to take direct responsibility for implementing initiatives that will benefit Delhi’s residents.
