Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take immediate and strict action against anyone found accepting money for illegal land allotment. The instructions were issued during the Janata Darshan program held at the Gorakhnath Temple on Friday, where the Chief Minister personally listened to public grievances.
Arriving in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, CM Yogi interacted with nearly 200 complainants and assured them that their issues would be resolved promptly. He emphasized transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance toward corruption in government processes.
Zero Tolerance on Corruption in Land Distribution
Several complaints related to irregularities in land lease distribution were raised during the program. Taking serious note of these allegations, the Chief Minister instructed district authorities to conduct immediate investigations in villages where bribery complaints have surfaced. He warned that any officer found guilty would face strict disciplinary and legal action.
CM Yogi reiterated that land meant for the poor should reach eligible beneficiaries without corruption or favoritism.
Direct Interaction with Citizens
Demonstrating a people-centric approach, the Chief Minister walked up to citizens seated at the venue to personally understand their problems. All applications were forwarded to concerned departments with clear instructions for time-bound and satisfactory resolution.

In one case, a woman expressed concern about her daughter’s marriage due to financial constraints. The Chief Minister directed officials to enroll her under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana for assistance.
For citizens seeking medical support, CM Yogi assured that no patient would be denied treatment due to lack of funds. He ordered authorities to prepare medical cost estimates promptly so that financial aid could be released without delay.

The Chief Minister’s proactive engagement at the Janata Darshan reinforced the government’s commitment to clean governance, social welfare, and speedy grievance redressal.
