Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma chairs first ‘Raj Unnati’ meeting, emphasizes timely development, accountability, and citizen-centric governance. Key projects worth Rs 2,000 crore reviewed.
Jaipur, Rajasthan – In a significant step towards accelerated and transparent governance, Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma convened the first meeting of the ‘Raj Unnati’ program on Saturday at the Chief Minister’s Office. The meeting focused on reviewing key developmental projects and schemes, with the Chief Minister emphasizing timely execution, accountability, and public satisfaction.
During the session, the Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma assessed seven major projects and two schemes worth nearly Rs 2,000 crore and issued detailed directions to ensure that all initiatives are implemented within set timelines. CM Sharma also personally took feedback from public complainants, ensuring immediate relief and highlighting the importance of citizen-centric governance.
Ensuring Transparent and Accountable Governance
CM Bhajanlal Sharma instructed District Collectors to monitor all public grievances closely and ensure prompt resolution. He directed the appointment of nodal officers to manage pending complaints efficiently and stressed that all departmental work must be conducted with full transparency. He further warned that officers and staff found negligent in implementing projects or schemes would face strict action.
The Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the need for improved inter-departmental coordination to prevent delays, control project costs, and deliver benefits to citizens on time.

Key Directives for Development Initiatives

Land Allotment: CM Bhajanlal Sharma instructed District Collectors to expedite land allotments for development works and issue tenders immediately to avoid delays. Phased implementation is to be followed where suitable land is unavailable.

PM Suryaghar Scheme: Officials were asked to accelerate progress under the PM Suryaghar 150 Units Free Electricity Scheme, introducing a cashless alternative model and promoting rooftop solar awareness campaigns.

Transformers Replacement: Faulty and burnt transformers are to be replaced promptly, with special focus on ensuring uninterrupted power supply.

Palnahar Scheme: Pending pension payments and annual verification of specially-abled pensioners should be completed quickly, including door-to-door verification if required.

HIRAPURA Bus Terminal Upgrade: CM Sharma directed officials to fast-track work on passenger amenities, including sheds, drinking water, parking, and bus operations at Jaipur’s HIRAPURA Terminal.

Land Acquisition & Key Projects: Priority was given to land acquisition for the Ajmer–Chanderia Broad Gauge Doubling Project. Other projects reviewed included solid waste management plants, faecal sludge treatment plants, sports stadiums, sub-district hospitals, and girls’ military schools across the state.
Strengthening Public Grievance Redressal
The Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also reviewed cases from the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline, emphasizing regular verification of grievance redressal to maintain citizen trust and effective governance. Complainants expressed satisfaction with the helpline’s responsiveness and effectiveness.
Senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, divisional commissioners, and district collectors, participated in the meeting, with several joining via video conferencing.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma concluded the session by reiterating that good governance and accountability are central to Rajasthan’s development vision, calling on officials to uphold the principles of efficiency, transparency, and citizen-first administration.
