AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Gujarat chief Isudan Gadhvi administer oath to AAP leaders in Sanand. Party vows to challenge BJP, ensure 2027 political change, and fight for public welfare in Gujarat.
In a significant political move ahead of the 2027 state elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Gujarat in-charge Isudan Gadhvi, administered the oath to AAP office bearers at a massive booth-level workers’ meeting in Lodrial village, Sanand. The event saw a huge turnout of party workers despite last-minute changes in the venue.
Kejriwal emphasized that this meeting was not a public rally but an organizational gathering of booth, taluka, and district-level AAP workers and leaders. He stated that public support for AAP in Gujarat is growing steadily, despite attempts by the BJP to block party activities using state machinery. “The 30-year-old BJP government is nearing its end in Gujarat, and that is why they are trying to disrupt our meetings. But our workers remain undeterred,” Arvind Kejriwal said.

Highlighting alleged incidents of intimidation, he mentioned the Ahmedabad-Nikol worker meeting, where the stage was vandalized and permissions revoked, as well as the assault on AAP MLA Gopal Italia, orchestrated by BJP agents. Arvind Kejriwal condemned such actions, calling them attempts to suppress democracy, and reiterated that AAP workers will not back down.
The AAP leader accused the BJP of ruining Gujarat’s prosperity over three decades. “Farmers, youth, women, traders, and industrialists are all struggling. Crops are undervalued, education and healthcare are in crisis, and unemployment is pushing young people toward drugs,” he said. He reiterated that just as AAP formed governments in Delhi and Punjab, a political change is inevitable in Gujarat in 2027.
Arvind Kejriwal urged workers to fight corruption and injustice, saying, “This battle is like a dharmayudh (righteous war), where truth and public power will prevail over money, authority, and political agencies. We must eradicate misgovernance from Gujarat, the land of Sardar Patel and Mahatma Gandhi.”
Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai praised the commitment of local AAP workers and called them “revolutionary,” stating that the BJP fears these grassroots organizers more than party leaders. Rai added that the party’s rapid growth in Gujarat has created a wave of political awakening across the state.
AAP Gujarat president Isudan Gadhvi echoed these statements, claiming that government machinery and police were misused to stop AAP events due to growing popularity. He highlighted that AAP is a party of ordinary citizens and grassroots activism, born out of the struggles of common people who are tired of bureaucratic inefficiency and corruption. Gadhvi also declared the party’s new slogan: “Kick out BJP, sweep with broom, and solve the problems”.
Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia pointed out that prior attempts to disrupt AAP’s meetings show BJP’s fear of public awareness. He emphasized that AAP is committed to fighting for the common people, improving education, healthcare, and infrastructure, and will continue mobilizing support across Gujarat.
The event reflects AAP’s growing organizational strength in Gujarat, with thousands of supporters actively participating despite intimidation attempts. As Gujarat heads toward the 2027 elections, the party is determined to challenge BJP’s long-standing rule and ensure governance focused on public welfare.
