Arvind Kejriwal addresses Vadodara AAP booth worker conference, vows to defeat BJP in 2027 Gujarat elections. Highlights corruption, unemployment, farmers’ issues, tribal welfare, and promises transparent governance and development.
A significant political gathering of booth workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was held in Vadodara on Monday, attended by AAP National Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The event was joined by AAP Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai, co-in-charge Durgesh Pathak, state president Isudan Gardhvi, MLAs Gopal Italia, Chaitar Vasava, and senior party leaders including Manoj Sorathia, Sagar Rabari, Rajubhai Solanki, Brijraj Solanki, Viren Rami (Vadodara Lok Sabha in-charge), Ashok Ojha (Vadodara East Zone chief), Radhika Rathwa (Chhota Udepur district president), and Niranjan Vasava (Narmada district president), along with hundreds of booth workers.
Addressing the assembly, Arvind Kejriwal criticized the BJP government, stating that while Gujarat is often perceived as prosperous, decades of BJP rule have left the state’s institutions hollow. “Farmers do not receive fertilizers or seeds, irrigation systems are neglected, and crop prices are suppressed. BJP leaders have misappropriated public funds. Government schools are in disarray, forcing parents to send their children to costly private institutions controlled by political elites. Even hospitals have been deliberately neglected, pushing people toward private healthcare owned by the same leaders,” he said.
Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the state’s rising youth unemployment, the misuse of law enforcement, and the social impact of corruption, noting that students are often trapped in unfair situations involving alcohol and drugs, while systemic failures continue to affect their future prospects.

“This is not merely a political battle—it is a fight for the dignity and rights of Gujaratis. The 30-year misrule has humiliated farmers and ordinary citizens. Incidents like the Harni Talab tragedy, where 12 children and 2 teachers drowned due to negligence by BJP-appointed contractors, reflect the failure of governance,” he added.
Arvind Kejriwal also addressed the misuse of tribal welfare funds, stating that billions of rupees meant for development have been wasted on political events and luxury expenditures, leaving tribal communities behind. “Gujarat is now awakening. People are demanding change. In 2027, the BJP will be removed, and the power will return to the citizens of Gujarat,” he asserted.
He emphasized that only AAP can deliver real governance because the party does not depend on government contracts or corporate interests. “We aim to build a Gujarat where farmers are prosperous, businesses thrive, youth get jobs, crops receive proper support, roads are maintained, schools and hospitals are upgraded, and illegal alcohol and drugs are eliminated,” Arvind Kejriwal said.
Gopal Rai, Gujarat in-charge, outlined the party’s organizational progress, including the “Leave Gujarat” campaign, district-level meetings, and village-level mobilization, emphasizing the importance of door-to-door campaigns and strengthening booth-level structures.
State president Isudan Gardhvi condemned the misuse of police and corruption by the BJP, asserting that AAP workers will not be intimidated. He urged volunteers to stay focused and avoid bribery, highlighting the growing awareness among Gujarat’s citizens.
MLA Chaitar Vasava and Vadodara MLA Gopal Italia stressed the party’s commitment to defending workers’ rights, challenging BJP’s oppressive policies, and empowering citizens to demand justice. They warned that despite threats of imprisonment, AAP leaders and supporters will continue their struggle for truth and public welfare.
The conference concluded with a renewed call for unity and activism across Gujarat. Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders reaffirmed that AAP’s vision for 2027 is a Gujarat with justice, transparency, strong institutions, and development-driven governance that prioritizes farmers, youth, workers, and tribal communities.
