Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 will be celebrated as a grand public festival from January 24 to 26, with ‘One District-One Dish’ emerging as the main highlight. The initiative aims to introduce the unique flavors of each district, allowing citizens and visitors to experience the culinary diversity of Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh government has emphasized active participation from all districts to present the state’s culture, crafts, cuisine, and development journey on a single platform. CM Yogi reviewed the preparations and stated that the event is not merely ceremonial but an opportunity to showcase the achievements, identity, and potential of Uttar Pradesh through public engagement.

National-Level Participation and Main Event at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal
The Chief Minister confirmed that Union Minister of Home and Cooperation, Amit Shah, will be the chief guest at this year’s celebrations, adding a national-level prominence to the event. The main ceremony will take place at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, with live telecast across all districts to ensure collective participation of the state’s population.
A special exhibition and craft fair under the theme “Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh” will highlight the state’s progress in infrastructure, industry, agriculture, women empowerment, innovation, and self-reliance. The festival will also incorporate cultural programs planned under the Culture Festival 2025-26, providing a stage for folk, classical, and contemporary art forms.
‘One District-One Dish’ – Culinary Diversity Takes Center Stage
The flagship ‘One District-One Dish’ initiative will feature traditional and signature dishes from all districts in a single venue. This move aims to familiarize visitors with Uttar Pradesh’s rich culinary heritage, regional flavors, and local identity, while also promoting food tourism in the state.
CM Yogi emphasized that citizens who have contributed exceptionally in various fields will be invited to the main ceremony on January 24, ensuring recognition of collective achievements. The Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 celebrations are designed to merge culture, cuisine, crafts, and developmental initiatives into an inspiring and memorable experience for every attendee.
