On the occasion of Republic Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the government will set up a regional institute of the National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) dedicated to “Immersive Technology.” The center aims to train and employ youth in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) sectors. This initiative is the first of its kind in India to simultaneously promote industry expertise and employment creation.

Policy for Film Technology in Delhi
CM Rekha Gupta also revealed that the Delhi government is preparing a policy for the film technology sector.
