In a significant step toward rural development, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited Ramgarh to inaugurate the Gram Utthan Camp, unveiling projects worth over ₹152 crore aimed at empowering farmers, livestock owners, and youth in rural areas.
Addressing the camp held in Gram Bahala, Ramgarh Assembly Constituency, CM Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the importance of strengthening village infrastructure through initiatives in education, healthcare, roads, energy, water supply, and civic amenities. The projects aim to make villages self-reliant while improving the quality of life for residents.
Strengthening Rural Self-Reliance
CM Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that “villages are the soul of the nation, and empowering them is imperative for progress.” Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several schemes have already been implemented to improve rural living standards. Initiatives like Swachh Bharat Mission have eradicated open defecation, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has provided housing to thousands, and Jal Jeevan Mission ensures piped drinking water to households.

VB Ji Ram Ji Law: Boosting Rural Infrastructure
Highlighting the VB Ji Ram Ji Law, the CM Bhajanlal Sharma stated that villagers will now receive 125 days of guaranteed employment annually, with wages directly transferred to workers’ bank accounts. The law also ensures the creation of permanent assets while addressing previous gaps in the MGNREGA scheme, thereby strengthening the framework for a developed and sustainable rural India.
Extensive Reach of Gram Utthan Camps
CM Bhajanlal Sharma revealed that over 1,800 Gram Utthan Camps have been organized across Rajasthan. Key outcomes include:
Distribution of 1.34 lakh Soil Health Cards
Issuance of 65,000 Ownership Cards
Submission of 37,000 Farmer Credit Card applications
Medical treatment for 6.5 lakh animals
36,000 registrations under PM Surya Home Scheme
Focus on Farmers, Livestock Owners, and Youth
The CM announced that under the Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers in Rajasthan receive ₹9,000 annually, while the Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana supports livestock owners. Employment opportunities for youth have been expanded, with over 1 lakh government appointments already made and recruitment ongoing for 1.54 lakh posts. Another 1 lakh appointments are planned in the near future.
Driving Development Across Rajasthan
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav praised the Gram Utthan Camps, stating that these initiatives are accelerating rural development through dairy projects, solar energy, and water conservation. During the event, CM Sharma reviewed exhibitions from various departments and distributed certificates, cheques, and electric wheelchairs to beneficiaries. Local representatives, officials, and a large number of villagers attended the program, witnessing Rajasthan’s commitment to sustainable rural development firsthand.
