CM Nayab Singh Saini defends the Haryana Recruitment Process in the Assembly. Learn about his emotional retort to Congress, HSSC updates, and the transparency in state hiring.
Haryana Recruitment Process News: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini delivered a powerful and emotional speech in the State Assembly today, defending the Haryana Recruitment Process against opposition claims. Responding to the Congress party’s “Adjournment Motion,” the CM dismissed allegations of failure in job recruitments, asserting that the state’s hiring system is more transparent now than ever before.
CM Saini Emotional Over Opposition’s “Lies”
During his address, CM Nayab Singh Saini expressed deep personal hurt over the opposition’s tactics. “I am deeply pained by the false allegations regarding recruitment failures. The Congress has no real issues left, so they are weaving a web of lies to mislead the youth and disrupt the House,” the CM stated. He emphasized that the current Haryana Recruitment Process is designed to empower deserving candidates rather than those with political backing.
The Role of HSSC and HPSC in Fair Hiring
Defending the state’s recruitment bodies, the Chief Minister clarified that both the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) function as autonomous institutions. He explained that some advertisements, including 8,653 posts, were withdrawn only to integrate them with the Common Eligibility Test (CET) to ensure a wider and fairer Haryana Recruitment Process for new aspirants.
Transparency Over Paper Leaks and Cancellations
Addressing the cancellation of previous exams like Gram Sachiv, Patwari, and Police Constable, CM Saini provided a detailed breakdown:
Gram Sachiv: Cancelled due to paper leak apprehensions, re-advertised on June 28, 2024, and successfully conducted on August 17, 2024.
Police Constable: Scrapped to prevent malpractice and later completed with results declared in June 2022.
Patwari: Aligned under CET after changes in eligibility criteria to streamline the Haryana Recruitment Process.

A Comparative Look: BJP vs. Congress Era
The CM didn’t hold back while comparing his government’s track record with previous regimes. He pointed out that during the Congress tenure, 11 major recruitments were cancelled, affecting the lives of 7,338 youngsters. In contrast, the current government has even re-instated JBT teachers and 1,500 constables who were removed during the INLD and Congress periods.
Clearing the Backlog and Ensuring Equality
One of the highlights of the Haryana Recruitment Process under CM Saini has been the aggressive clearing of backlogs. In 2006, the SC backlog stood at 14,995; today, it has been reduced to just 145. The BC(B) backlog has been officially brought down to zero.
“The youth have regained faith in our agencies,” Saini added, noting that following Article 16 of the Constitution, the state ensures equal opportunity, which is why about 22% of candidates recommended for 4,437 posts came from other states based on pure merit.
