The review meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Secretary K. A. P. Sinha and Additional Chief Secretary Jaspreet Talwar along with senior administrative officials. The discussions mainly focused on preparing an effective strategy for the next phase of the state’s development campaign.
To strengthen accountability, Harpal Singh Cheema directed Deputy Commissioners to submit two detailed reports by the end of May. The first report must explain the reasons behind any first-phase projects that remain incomplete after May 31, while the second report should include a comprehensive execution plan and timeline for upcoming second-phase projects.
Highlighting the importance of strict monitoring, Chief Secretary K. A. P. Sinha instructed district officials to conduct weekly reviews of ongoing development works to ensure faster implementation at the ground level. All Deputy Commissioners participated in the review meeting through video conferencing, while senior officials from various departments also attended the session.
The Punjab government is actively pushing forward infrastructure and public welfare projects under the Rangla Punjab Vikas Scheme to improve civic amenities and accelerate regional development across the state.
