Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini marked World Bee Day with a major announcement in Panchkula, releasing ₹1.02 crore incentive assistance to 30 farmers under the state’s Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. The initiative aims to strengthen farmers’ income and encourage diversified agriculture practices.
Push for Beekeeping Along with Farming
Addressing the event, CM Nayab Singh Saini urged farmers to adopt beekeeping alongside traditional agriculture. He emphasized that honey production not only increases income but also improves crop yield through better pollination.
He highlighted that the state government is actively promoting beekeeping as a sustainable rural livelihood option.

Israel-Tech Based Honey Development Center in Kurukshetra
The Chief Minister informed that an Integrated Beekeeping Development Centre and Honey Trading Centre has been established in Ramnagar, Kurukshetra. The facility is based on Israel-inspired modern technology and aims to provide training, research, and market linkage for farmers engaged in honey production.
This initiative is expected to boost Haryana’s position in the honey production sector and improve export potential.
85% Subsidy and Insurance Support
CM Saini also stated that the Haryana government is providing up to 85% subsidy to promote bee keeping activities in the state. Additionally, bee keeping has been included under the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme and Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, offering financial security and risk protection to farmers.
Strengthening Rural Economy
The state government believes that integrating bee keeping with agriculture will significantly enhance rural income and promote sustainable farming practices. The initiative is part of Haryana’s broader strategy to double farmers’ income and modernize agriculture.
