AAP Gujarat Kisan Morcha chief Pravin Ram to join the three-day farmers’ hunger strike in Paddhari, backing the protest against the transmission line policy.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Gujarat Kisan Morcha State President Pravin Ram has announced that he will participate in the ongoing three-day hunger strike organised by farmers in Paddhari to support their protest against the transmission line issue.
In a video message, Pravin Ram said he would join the fast on July 18 to express solidarity with farmers who have been raising concerns over the state’s transmission line policy. He added that AAP leaders and workers would stand with the farming community during the protest.
Farmers Continue Protest Against Transmission Line Policy
According to Pravin Ram, farmers across Gujarat have been protesting against the government’s circular related to transmission lines. He claimed that the circular has triggered widespread opposition, particularly in Morbi and nearby regions.
Pravin Ram alleged that the policy benefits private companies rather than protecting the interests of farmers. He said that many farmers have themselves expressed concerns that the circular does not adequately address agricultural issues.
