Ankit Baliyan murder case: Police announce Rs 1 lakh reward each for fugitive shooters Satyam and Aryan as the search continues.
The investigation into the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan has intensified, with police announcing a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for two alleged shooters who remain on the run. The accused, identified as Satyam and Aryan, are believed to have links with the Gogi gang.
Ankit Baliyan was shot dead in broad daylight in Shamli on August 26. While police have already taken action against two other alleged shooters, the search for Satyam and Aryan continues across multiple locations.
Rs 1 Lakh Reward for Satyam and Aryan
Police have declared a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of Satyam and Aryan. Both accused are reportedly residents of Karnal, Haryana, and are allegedly associated with the Gogi gang.
Investigators are searching for the fugitives in several areas, including Gujarat, Ahmedabad and Delhi. Despite intensified efforts, police have reportedly not yet established their whereabouts.
Two Alleged Shooters Killed in Encounter
The case has already witnessed a major police operation. According to the information provided, Shamli Police killed two alleged shooters, Sumit and Mohit, during an encounter on Sunday.
Two police personnel were also injured in the exchange of fire.
The development came as investigators continued efforts to identify and apprehend everyone allegedly connected with the singer’s killing.
Police Probe GPS Tracking Angle
Investigators had earlier revealed that Ankit Baliyan was allegedly being monitored before the shooting. Police suspect that a GPS tracking device had been installed in his vehicle to follow his movements.
A suspect from Ghaziabad was also detained in connection with the alleged purchase of the GPS device. Investigators are examining whether the tracking device was used to plan or facilitate the attack.

Minister Kapil Dev Agrawal Meets Family
Following the killing, the state government took cognisance of the incident and directed officials to act against those responsible.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Agrawal visited Banti Kheda village in Shamli on Wednesday. He met Ankit Baliyan’s family and expressed his condolences.
The minister described the killing as deeply tragic and said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had taken the matter seriously. He also reiterated the government’s position that people involved in criminal activities would not be given protection.
Wife Demands Strict Action Against All Accused
Seema Baliyan, the singer’s wife, has demanded strong action against everyone allegedly involved in the murder.
she said she would consider justice served only if all those accused were killed in encounters. She also called for the alleged gang behind the crime to be completely dismantled.
Investigation Continues
The police investigation into Ankit Baliyan’s murder remains ongoing, with teams continuing their search for the two absconding suspects. The announcement of the cash reward is aimed at encouraging information that could help investigators locate Satyam and Aryan.
