Aasif Khan Had Earlier Rejected Bigg Boss

In a 2024 interview with Hindi Rush, Aasif Khan was asked whether he would consider becoming a Bigg Boss contestant. His immediate response was no.

The actor revealed that he had actually received an offer to participate in the show in 2022. He said that after discussing the proposal with a couple of close friends, he also watched the show for nearly a month to understand its format.

However, after watching it, he realised that the reality show’s environment did not appeal to him.

‘Off-Camera Acting’ Was His Biggest Concern

Explaining his decision, Aasif Khan said that he has always disliked what he described as “off-camera acting.” According to the actor, people should not pretend or perform differently simply because they are part of a reality show.

He explained that he often tells his friends that there should be no acting when the camera is not rolling. This was one of the main reasons he felt Bigg Boss was not suited to his personality and preferences at that time.

His old comments have now grabbed fresh attention because he has eventually stepped inside the Bigg Boss house.
