Gopal Italia announces over ₹30 crore in approved development works for Visavadar, including a bypass road, Rohidasji Ashram and university project.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia has shared details of three major development projects approved for the Visavadar Assembly constituency. The projects, involving a combined allocation of more than ₹30 crore, are expected to improve road connectivity, religious infrastructure and educational opportunities in the region.
According to Gopal Italia, one of the key approvals is the long-pending Visavadar-Satadhar bypass road, which is expected to make travel easier for vehicles approaching the area from several surrounding towns.
Visavadar-Satadhar Bypass Road Gets Approval
The Visavadar-Satadhar bypass has reportedly been a long-standing demand in the constituency. Gopal Italia said he had personally met the Chief Minister to explain the proposed route and its potential benefits.
During the meeting, he used a map based on Google Maps to explain how the proposed road could provide a more convenient route for vehicles travelling towards Satadhar and Visavadar from Junagadh, Bhesan, Bagasara and Manekvada.
The bypass is proposed to begin near the Manavadar Prant Office and continue behind Hanuman Para.
Traffic Problems in Visavadar Also Highlighted
The MLA also raised concerns about difficulties faced by large government and private buses while navigating parts of Visavadar.
According to Gopal Italia, traffic movement around Sardar Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk and the railway station turn near the government hospital can be challenging for larger buses. He said these issues were brought to the attention of the Chief Minister as well as officials of the Roads and Buildings Department.
The proposed bypass could help reduce the pressure on some of these busy stretches and make vehicle movement more convenient.

₹10 Crore Approved for Sant Shri Rohidasji Maharaj Ashram
Another major approval relates to the development of the Sant Shri Rohidasji Maharaj Ashram and his birthplace in Visavadar taluka.
A sum of ₹10 crore has been approved for various works, including road development, parking facilities and temple construction. The development is expected to improve infrastructure for visitors and devotees coming to the site.
With these projects included, the Visavadar Assembly constituency has received approvals involving more than ₹30 crore for development-related works, according to the information shared by Gopal Italia.
Sant Shri Rohidas Cher Approved at University
Another initiative has been approved near Khadia village at Bhaktakavi Narsinh Mehta University. The project, named ‘Sant Shri Rohidas Cher’, is intended to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the life and contributions of Sant Rohidasji.
The initiative is also expected to generate local economic benefits, according to the MLA.

Gopal Italia expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving the projects and congratulated the people and farmers of Visavadar.
