Bhagwant Mann met Gurpreet Singh Khalsa in Chandigarh to discuss pending SGPC elections and assured an SIT probe into the Amarjeet Chawla case.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held an important meeting with Gurpreet Singh Khalsa, leader of the ongoing Dharam Yudh Morcha in Batala, in Chandigarh. The meeting focused on several key issues concerning the Sikh Panth and matters related to the Sikh community.
During the discussion, the demand for holding the long-pending Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections without further delay was raised prominently.
Bhagwant Mann Discusses Pending SGPC Elections
One of the key issues discussed during the meeting was the delay in SGPC elections. Gurpreet Singh Khalsa urged the Punjab government to ensure that the elections, which have remained pending for several years, are conducted at the earliest.
Bhagwant Mann took the demand seriously and discussed the issue in detail. The long delay in the SGPC electoral process has remained an important concern among sections of the Sikh community.

CM ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਚਾਵਲਾ ਮਾਮਲੇ ‘ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ SIT ਗਠਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹਰ ਪੰਥਕ ਮਸਲੇ ਦੇ ਜਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਢੁੱਕਵੇਂ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

Amarjeet Chawla Case Also Discussed
The meeting also covered the Amarjeet Chawla case. Bhagwant Mann expressed deep concern over the matter and assured that the case would be examined thoroughly.
The Chief Minister assured Gurpreet Singh Khalsa that an SIT would be constituted immediately for a detailed investigation into the case. He also assured that strict action would be taken against anyone found responsible after the investigation.

Government Assures Action on Panthic Issues
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss other important matters concerning the Sikh Panth. Bhagwant Mann reiterated that the Punjab government is committed to addressing such issues through appropriate action and dialogue.
The government maintained that efforts would be made to find timely and suitable solutions to matters concerning the Sikh community.
