AAP elections Gujarat will adopt the “Open to All” policy, allowing not just party insiders but also ordinary citizens, social workers, and political activists to apply for candidacy. Unlike BJP and Congress, which typically favor family members of sitting MLAs, AAP aims to provide leadership opportunities to the general public. This approach is being highlighted as a major shift from traditional dynastic politics in Gujarat.
The party plans a three-day screening process (16th–18th) to finalize candidates from different zones. The first list of candidates is expected to be released soon. Gadhvi emphasized that AAP elections Gujarat will focus on empowering common citizens to contest, creating a strong alternative to the conventional political model.
Regarding the recent vacancy in the Umreth assembly constituency following the MLA’s demise, Gadhvi stated that AAP will discuss with state and national leadership before announcing a candidate for the upcoming by-election.
Through these efforts, AAP elections Gujarat aim to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and a strong public connection. The party’s initiative to field candidates from ordinary citizenry marks a significant step toward a new political culture in Gujarat, emphasizing public welfare and grassroots representation.
