AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava criticizes BJP government over Vadodara MLAs’ letter, highlighting bureaucratic negligence, intimidation of citizens, and governance failures in Gujarat.
AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava targeted the BJP government over a letter sent by five BJP legislators from Vadodara, highlighting alleged administrative negligence and bureaucratic arbitrariness. The issue was raised during a public meeting organized by the Aam Aadmi Party in Surat.
According to Chaitar Vasava, the five BJP MLAs wrote to the Chief Minister to express grievances related to district-level administration, citing that key officials, including the Collector, District Development Officer, Commissioner, and SP, failed to respond to their concerns despite the legislators being from the ruling party.
He questioned, “If the state’s own MLAs cannot have their issues addressed, what hope do ordinary citizens have?” Vasava emphasized that the BJP’s 30-year governance in Gujarat has created a climate of fear, where no one dares question the authorities.
Chaitar Vasava also cited a recent incident in Ankleshwar where a farmer, who raised a complaint against a local Sarpanch, was allegedly attacked in an attempt to set him on fire. “This shows the lengths to which authorities go to suppress ordinary citizens seeking justice,” he added.
He further accused BJP leaders of intimidating students demanding education, youth seeking employment, and citizens requesting healthcare, clean drinking water, or electricity. Vasava said, “The police are misused, raids are conducted, false cases are filed, and the public is continuously suppressed under this regime.”
Chaitar Vasava’s statements point to what he described as a systemic failure in governance, raising questions about accountability and transparency in the state administration under the BJP.
