AAP Gujarat Secretary Manoj Sorthiya slams BJP for false allegations against MLA Chaitanya Vasava, calling them baseless and politically motivated. Collector confirms claims are untrue.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the baseless allegations made against its MLA Chaitanya Vasava by BJP MP Mansukh Vasava. Addressing the issue through a video statement, AAP Gujarat State Secretary Manoj Sorthiya criticized the BJP for attempting to tarnish the image of honest and public-serving leaders.
Sorthiya highlighted that Mansukh Vasava accused Chaitanya Vasava, the MLA from Dediapada, of demanding ₹75 lakh. However, the collector has officially clarified that no such demand was made. “Those sitting on piles of corruption are now targeting a dedicated and honest leader. The collector has confirmed that these allegations are false,” Sorthiya said.
He added, “Leaders in the BJP do not serve the public; instead, they focus on maligning AAP leaders who fight for the people. Mansukh Vasava should show some courage and resign. If you refuse, the public will ensure that you step down.”

Manoj Sorthiya further mentioned that similar false allegations have previously been made against other AAP leaders, including Isudan Gadhvi and Gopal Italia. During an earlier campaign, Gadhvi faced baseless claims of misconduct and alcohol consumption, and FIRs were registered against him. The AAP leadership stressed that these actions represent a systematic attempt by the BJP to intimidate and discredit honest leaders.
“This is a deliberate tactic of false FIRs, harassment, and defamation. The BJP has failed to serve the public even after 30 years in power, which is why they resort to such malicious tactics,” Sorthiya said. He called on BJP leaders involved in corruption to feel ashamed for targeting AAP leaders who work for public welfare.
Sorthiya concluded by appealing to the citizens of Gujarat, saying, “The public knows the truth. The BJP is trying to tarnish the reputation of AAP leaders, but if they continue to resist, the people will hold them accountable. The time has come for citizens to demand justice and transparency.”
