CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said action against corruption, encroachment and illegal occupation will continue in the state. He said that in the last three years, many challenges were faced, but the government dealt with every crisis by staying among the people. As per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is making rapid progress and this decade will be of development for the state.
CM Pushkar was speaking to reporters on the completion of his three-year tenure at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan at the CM House. He listed the achievements of the State Government and shared the future priorities. He recalled that before the 2022 elections, political analysts believed that the BJP would not be able to return to power, but the people again gave their blessings and strengthened the government.
Resolving to deal with natural calamities, CM Pushkar , while referring to the calamities in Kedar Valley, Raini, Silkyara and the recent one in Mana area, said that the government does not back down in times of crisis, but stands with the people. Uttarakhand is also contributing to the Prime Minister’s resolve of a developed India by 2047.
CM Pushkar Dhami clarified that the campaign against illegal construction, encroachment and illegal occupation in the state will continue and strict action will be taken against corruption. Discussing important decisions like Uniform Civil Code (UCC), land law and anti-copying law, he said his government does not put any important issue in cold storage but comes up with solutions.
Special Schemes for Women and Agitators The Chief Minister mentioned initiatives like 30% reservation for women and ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme, thereby empowering the Matri Shakti economically. In addition, it has been decided to give 10% horizontal reservation to the state agitators. Special conferences were also held to connect the migrant Uttarakhandis with the state.
Boost to Development and Investment CM Pushkar informed that Uttarakhand has reached 13th position in the country in terms of per capita income, which is a positive sign. Organizing the Global Investors Summit and G-20 meetings will bring long-term benefits to the state. Uttarakhand attaining the first position in the country in the index of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a significant achievement.
Upcoming Schemes and Events CM Pushkar described the budget exceeding ₹1 lakh crore in the 25th Foundation Year (Silver Jubilee) of the State as a major achievement. He also mentioned about the preparations for Kumbh and Nanda Rajjat to be held in 2027. In addition, he appreciated the success achieved by organizing the National Games and the contribution of Prime Minister Modi in tourism development.
Many dignitaries including MLA Khajan Das, Mahant Dilip Rawat, Rajkumar Pori and Director General of Information Bansidhar Tiwari were present on the occasion.
