Apple Vision Pro
Apple Vision Pro made a big splash when it was released. But the high cost is proving to be a significant obstacle.
With mixed reviews when it debuted on store shelves in February of this year, Apple’s much-anticipated virtual reality headset, the Vision Pro, presents the firm with a difficult dilemma about its production. Apple had set a lofty goal of 800,000 units for shipments, but according to recent rumors from renowned analyst and Apple leaker Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is substantially lowering its targets.
Kuo now says Apple plans to supply only 400,000 devices, which is a significant change from their original estimates.

Although Kuo has remained upbeat about Apple’s new product, the company’s dedication to premium hardware—like sophisticated camera sensors and OLED screens—continues to be a turnoff for many customers because of the high price.
This continuous difficulty raises the possibility that Apple may review its pricing approach in order to stay competitive in the rapidly changing VR market.
Exorbitant Price Tag
Customers’ opposition to the headset, which costs an expensive $3,499 (about Rs 2.92 lakh), has forced Apple to reevaluate its plans for the product line.
Tech fans are divided over the outrageous price tag; some wonder what good a first-generation product can offer in a market that is so eager for new ideas. Due to this skepticism, Apple has revised its plan, possibly delaying the release of an inexpensive mixed reality headset that was previously predicted for 2025.
Foray Into China
Additionally, the massive Cupertino company wants to begin selling the Vision Pro in China.
The Apple Vision Pro is expected to make its market debut in mainland China this year, according to CEO Tim Cook’s announcement at the China Development Forum in Beijing last month.
In a press conference, Cook revealed the headset’s launch strategy and announced that the tech behemoth will be increasing its R&D spending in China.
