Arvind Kejriwal backs protesting Jharkhand students and urges the government to address JSSC-JPSC demands, including a CBI probe and exam reforms.
Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has extended his support to students protesting in Jharkhand, urging the state government to address their concerns at the earliest. He also criticised the use of force against protesting students, calling violence against them unacceptable.
Kejriwal shared his views in a post on X as demonstrations by candidates preparing for government recruitment examinations continued in Ranchi.
Students Protest Over JPSC and JSSC Recruitment Issues
The protests involve aspirants associated with the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. Students have raised concerns over alleged irregularities in examinations and demanded greater transparency in the recruitment process.
A significant number of aspirants gathered near the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha during a march organised by the JPSC-JSSC Reform Manch. The protesters formed a human chain before moving towards the Assembly to highlight their demands.
Students Demand JSSC-CGL Exam Cancellation
One of the major demands of the protesting candidates is the cancellation of the JSSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. They are also seeking a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities linked to the examination.
Apart from an independent probe, the student groups have called for changes in the recruitment system to make competitive examinations more transparent and reliable.

Police Action During Assembly March
The agitation intensified following Monday’s march towards the Jharkhand Assembly. Police reportedly used water cannons and lathis after protesters moved through several barricades and approached the Assembly complex.
The police action has become an additional point of concern for the protesting candidates, who say their demands should be addressed through dialogue rather than force.
Kejriwal Calls for Immediate Resolution
Kejriwal said he supported the demands raised by the protesting students and appealed to the Jharkhand government to resolve the matter without delay. He also objected to the use of force against students.
His intervention comes as the agitation continues in Ranchi, with student groups maintaining pressure on the government over examination-related concerns.
Recruitment Transparency Remains Key Issue
The ongoing protest has once again brought attention to concerns surrounding competitive examinations and government recruitment in Jharkhand. The students are primarily seeking transparency, accountability and corrective measures over alleged irregularities.
The protesting groups continue to demand cancellation of the JSSC-CGL examination, a CBI probe and broader reforms in the state’s recruitment process. The next course of action will depend on how the government responds to these demands and whether talks with the student groups lead to a resolution.
