Arvind Kejriwal announced an AAP helpline offering free legal and medical assistance to students affected during the recent Delhi protest.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced a dedicated helpline for students affected during the recent protest in Delhi, assuring free legal and medical assistance to those injured, detained or facing legal action.
Expressing strong concern over the police action during the students’ protest, Kejriwal said the party would extend every possible support to affected students and their families. He also said he would visit injured protesters in the hospital and later go to the Parliament Street Police Station to gather information about students who had been detained.
AAP Issues Helpline for Legal and Medical Assistance
Kejriwal announced that students requiring legal assistance or medical support can send a message to 85888-33548. According to him, AAP has formed a dedicated team of lawyers and medical professionals to assist those affected by the protest.
He stated that every request received on the helpline would be responded to promptly and, where necessary, experienced legal professionals would be engaged to provide representation.
Calls for Transparency and Student Welfare
The AAP leader said the party is committed to ensuring that students and their families receive timely support. He added that information regarding students who were detained should be made available so that appropriate legal assistance can reach them without delay.
Kejriwal also said he plans to meet injured students undergoing treatment and gather details about those reportedly held after the protest.

Education Reforms and Paper Leak Concerns
Speaking on the issue, Kejriwal said that demands for a transparent examination system and stronger measures to prevent paper leaks are legitimate concerns that deserve attention.
He stressed that improving the education system and ensuring fair examinations should remain a priority for every government. According to him, students raising these issues should have their concerns addressed through democratic dialogue.
Remarks on Parliament March
Kejriwal said he could not personally participate in the Parliament march because of a pre-scheduled programme in Punjab. However, he stated that members of his family participated alongside students during the protest.
He reiterated that the party would continue to stand with students seeking justice and support efforts aimed at strengthening the country’s education system.

Concluding his statement, Arvind Kejriwal said that every citizen is part of one national family and called for collective efforts to ensure justice for affected students.
