Ayodhya government schools have banned unauthorised entry of outsiders, YouTubers and social media personnel, with prior permission required for filming.
The Ayodhya government schools entry ban has been introduced by the district’s Basic Education Department to regulate the entry of outsiders, YouTubers and social media personnel into parishadiya schools. The new order requires prior approval before any external person can enter school premises or record photographs and videos.
District Basic Education Officer (BSA) Lal Chand issued the order on August 19, directing schools to implement the instructions with immediate effect.
Prior Permission Required for Outsiders
Under the Ayodhya government schools entry ban, outsiders cannot enter parishadiya primary and upper-primary schools without permission from the District Basic Education Officer or another authorised official.
The restriction also applies to people associated with YouTube and other social media platforms. Anyone seeking to record photographs or videos inside a school will need prior approval from the competent authority.
Unauthorised Photography and Videography Prohibited
The department has also prohibited photography and videography inside school premises without permission. The decision follows concerns over people entering schools without authorisation and recording teachers, students and school activities.
According to the department, such unauthorised recordings may interfere with the regular teaching-learning environment and affect the dignity of teachers and educational institutions.’

Schools Directed to Ensure Compliance
All concerned headteachers, teachers and school officials have been instructed to strictly follow the order. The Ayodhya government schools entry ban will remain applicable to external visitors unless the required permission has been obtained.
The department has made it clear that entering a school for the purpose of inspection or recording cannot be treated as a right for unauthorised individuals.
Officials Already Responsible for School Inspections
The Basic Education Department said that authorised government officials are already responsible for inspecting and monitoring government schools. These officials conduct inspections and take necessary action whenever shortcomings are identified.
The Ayodhya government schools entry ban is therefore aimed at preventing unauthorised interference while allowing official monitoring mechanisms to continue.
With the order now effective, outsiders, YouTubers and social media personnel visiting parishadiya schools will have to obtain approval before entering the premises or carrying out any photography or videography.
