Bhagat Kabir Dham will be established, as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated on Saturday, to carry out in-depth research on the life and ideology of the founder of the Bhakti movement.
Speaking to the crowd at today’s state-level celebration of Bhagat Kabir ji’s 626th parkash utsav, the Chief Minister said that the mystic poet and saint from the 15th century had demonstrated a way of life to the populace and that this Dham would be essential for studying their lives. He said that people should emulate Bhagat Kabir ji in order to create a progressive, wealthy, and peaceful society, saying that the great mystic poet’s life and philosophy have always inspired people to live righteously. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that upholding Bhagat Kabir ji’s ideas would be essential to preserving unity, communal fraternity, and peace in the modern era.
The Chief Minister urged everyone to take the teachings of Bhagat Kabir ji seriously and stated that it is imperative to create an equal society that transcends narrow-minded ideas about caste, color, creed, and religion. He claimed that Bhagat Kabir Ji’s life and teachings propagated the timeless lessons of love, harmony, and peace found in his Bani, a component of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Despite growing up in a Muslim household, Bhagat Kabir ji was greatly impacted by the Hindu saint Ramananda, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann. This had a significant effect on his works during the Bhakti movement.
The Chief Minister urged people to follow the great saint’s example because he believed it may be crucial to creating a peaceful and forward-thinking society. He said that we must struggle against oppression, injustice, and tyranny, as taught by the great Sikh Gurus. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, his administration is doing everything within its power to bring the state back to its former splendor.
The state administration is working together to revitalize the state’s health and education systems, according to the chief minister. According to him, the average father was forced to send his child to a government school up until this point, but because the educational system is being redesigned, in six months he will want to do so. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state has established Schools of Eminence to provide kids with high-quality education. He also mentioned that the government health system is being improved in a similar fashion.
According to the Chief Minister, the past administrations denied people access to high-quality healthcare and education in order to prevent them from advancing in society. He claimed that their only goal was to keep impoverished children at their mercy and prevent them from ever moving on. On the other hand, Bhagwant Singh Mann’s goal is to provide underprivileged pupils with a high-quality education in order to empower them.
The 158 government school kids who passed the coveted JEE exams for the first time are in front of everyone, according to the Chief Minister. He claimed that this is just the start and that his government is working hard to produce more outcomes of this kind in the days to come. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has offered over 43000 jobs to young people only based on merit.
The state government is opening eight high-tech centers to teach pupils for competitive tests, according to the chief minister. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, these centers will offer young people top-notch instruction so they can pass the UPSC exams and occupy highly sought-after positions in the state and nation. According to him, the state administration wants to make sure that young people hold important positions and contribute to the nation.
The Chief Minister, aiming his weapons at the opposition, claimed that because of his pro-Punjabi and development-focused views, opposition leaders never pass up an opportunity to attack him. This critique, he claimed, is completely unreasonable and motivated only by their whims and fancy. Bhagwant Mann declared unequivocally that this would not stop him from carrying out his responsibilities.
The chief minister claimed that by acquiring the Goindwal power plant, which was formerly held by the private business GVK Power, the state government has written a new chapter in history. According to him, the state government bought a private power plant, marking the first instance of a trend in the other direction from the past when it sold its assets to preferred parties at “throwaway” prices. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, this power plant is the most affordable purchase made by any state or private enterprise and is a historic effort, yet despite the fact that 90% of power consumers receive free power, the opposition has never praised it.
The Chief Minister claimed that because he comes from a common background, the established parties are envious of him. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, these leaders are unable to accept the fact that an ordinary person is effectively managing the state because they feel they have a divine right to do so. He claimed that despite the fact that these politicians have been deceiving the public for a long time, people are no longer being convinced by their false propaganda.
The state government, according to the chief minister, is already working tirelessly to honor the goals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other notable freedom fighters. He claimed that the state government’s development- and people-oriented policies are meant to bring these great national leaders’ ambitions to fruition. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, every effort will be done going forward to guarantee that the grassroots population benefits from public welfare programs.
According to the Chief Minister, the state government would alter the school curriculum as needed to promote optimism in the classroom. According to him, the plan is already complete and would be put into action in the next few days. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, this is what is urgently needed to prepare the pupils to be responsible, engaged citizens in the future.
The Chief Minister further recalled that, after pursuing the issue with the then-Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, the house had honored Guru Gobind Singh’s chotta sahibzadas on their martyrdom day during his time as a member of the legislature. No one had ever brought up this subject in the Parliament, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann, but after he brought it up, the whole assembly honored Chotta Sahibzadas. He claimed that this was unprecedented and that it had greatly eased his mental distress because it was the first time that the martyrdom of Chotta Sahibzada had been acknowledged in a national parliament.
According to the Chief Minister, the state government assists young people in realizing their aspirations in the same way that runways at airports enable an aircraft to take off smoothly. He claimed that every effort is being made to give young people’s ideas wings, and that nothing is being overlooked in support of this admirable goal. Bhagwant Singh Mann urged young people to strive hard to forge their own identities in order to find a place in society, saying that the possibilities are endless for them.
Earlier, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, a member of the Lok Sabha, and Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa spoke to the assembly.
Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, MP for the Lok Sabha Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, and Members of Legislative Assembly Jasbir Singh Raja Gill and Dr. Ravjot Singh were also present on the occasion.
