Bihar Board 2026 Model Papers Released | Class 10 & 12 Exam Pattern Updates
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the Model Question Papers (MQPs) for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Students can now access these model papers directly from the official BSEB website: biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. This early release aims to help over 30 lakh students prepare efficiently by familiarizing them with the updated exam format.
Key Updates in 2026 Exam Pattern
The newly released model papers feature a significant increase in objective-type questions across most subjects. For instance, in the English paper, students will find 100 objective questions, but they are required to answer only 50. The board clarified, “If more than 50 questions are answered, only 50 will be evaluated. Each question carries one mark.”
In addition to objective questions, Section B consists of descriptive questions, which are mandatory for all students. The mathematics paper will include a total of 138 questions, divided into objective, short-answer, and long-answer sections. Specifically, students will answer 50 objective questions, 30 short-answer questions, and 4 long-answer questions out of 8. The use of any electronic gadgets or calculators is strictly prohibited during the exam.
