Library to come up at village Maira Colony with Rs. 5 lakh aid
The Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is undertaking pro people steps in every sector whether it is giving jobs, free power or Sadak Surakhya Force. Special attention is being paid to the overall development of the villages. This was disclosed by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Forest & Wildlife Preservation Minister Mr. Lal Chand Kataruchak today at village Bhanwal after laying the foundation stone of a water supply system.
The Minister on the occasion said that soon, the process would be initiated across Punjab to make Ration Cards so as to ensure that no beneficiary remains devoid of its benefits.
Divulging further, the Minister said that the water supply system would come up at the cost of Rs. 70 Lakh which would 500 families and would be completed in 6 months.
The Minister also visited various villages of Bhoa constituency. As part of this, he first went to village Maira Colony and heard the issues being faced by the people. On the occasion, he said that a library would constructed in the village at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
The Minister also went to village Jhandpur and listened to the grievances of the people. He assured the villagers that a park would soon come up in the village. Besides, he directed the officers to ensure drinking water supply to the residents of Jhandpur by laying a pipeline from the water supply of village Kalesar.
The Minister while paying a visit to the village Panjor, inspected the work with regard to the main street and directed the concerned Department to ensure quality in the work being undertaken. Apart from this, he also heard the grievances of the people at village Kalesar, and took stock of the work pertaining to the cleaning of the pond at village Ferozepur Kallan apart from water drainage issue.
The Minister said that any sort of problem with regard to any village must be brought to his attention and assured that the problems of the people would be solved on a priority basis
