Over 1,000 BJP and Congress leaders join AAP in Narmada, Gujarat. Chaitar Vasava and Akhilesh Tripathi highlight tribal rights, education crisis, and upcoming 2027 Gujarat elections at massive Parivartan Sabha.
Chaitar Vasava: In a significant political shift, over 1,000 leaders from BJP and Congress joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during a massive Parivartan Sabha held in Chikda village, Narmada district. The event was attended by AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava and Delhi MLA Akhilesh Tripathi, drawing thousands of supporters who pledged their allegiance to AAP.
Chaitar Vasava Pledges to Protect Tribal Rights
Addressing the public gathering, MLA Chaitar Vasava emphasized AAP’s commitment to the constitutional rights of tribal communities, which he said have been restricted to paper for far too long. He assured that once AAP forms the government, a Tribal Advisory Committee will be established and pending rights under the Forest Rights Act will be granted to eligible tribal citizens.
Vasava highlighted the education crisis in the district, noting that 181 villages lack schools and 505 teaching positions remain vacant. He promised immediate action to open schools in underserved areas and recruit teachers to ensure tribal children receive their right to education. Additionally, he mentioned that over 1,200 children suffer from malnutrition, and special programs will be implemented to improve child health and nutrition.

Empowering Tribal Youth
Chaitar Vasava stressed that tribal youth should become police officers, IAS, IPS officers, doctors, and teachers. He criticized the BJP government for denying fair opportunities to tribal communities due to its biased and autocratic policies. Vasava accused the government of using development grants for political propaganda rather than genuine public benefit.
Upcoming Elections and Gujarat Transformation
Vasava declared that AAP aims to bring change in Gujarat by 2027 and form a state government committed to justice and equality. He said the upcoming Taluka and District Panchayat elections are crucial for AAP to gain influence in local self-governance and address tribal issues effectively.
Tribal Rights and Public Mobilization
Vasava warned that tribal communities have inherent rights over forests, including timber, bamboo, and other forest produce. He cautioned the Forest Department that any injustice against tribals will be met with public protests. He further added that the unity and support of local people in Dediyapada are so strong that national leaders, including the Prime Minister, have to visit the region to engage with citizens.
He criticized BJP leaders for attempting to intimidate people and prevent them from attending public gatherings, but asserted that the strength lies in community support, not individual power. Vasava concluded by affirming that AAP will continue to fight for tribal rights, education, and fair governance, ensuring citizens’ voices are heard at every level.
