Chief Minister DHAMI participated in the TV9 Summit 2025 – ‘What India Thinks Today’ and shared views on the theme ‘One Nation, One Legislation, New Hindustan’. Chief Minister DHAMI said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which is a big step towards equality and justice in the society. To implement this law, the expert committee was formed, which held more than 72 meetings in 20 months and took public opinion.
Promoting Pilgrimage and Tourism in the State Chief Minister DHAMI informed that winter pilgrimage has been started to promote Chardham Yatra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Mukhwa and Harshil has created a better atmosphere for this visit. The Prime Minister especially called upon the youth to visit Uttarakhand in winters.
Stringent Action on Illegal Encroachments Around 6000 acres of land has been freed by taking action against illegal occupation of government lands in the state. The Chief Minister made it clear that illegal conversions and encroachment of government land would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Focus on National Games and Infrastructure Development Projects In the silver jubilee year of Uttarakhand, the 38th National Games were held in 8 districts of the state, which were inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The construction work of the expressway between Delhi and Dehradun is in the final stage, which will reduce the travel time by two and a half hours.
Moving ahead on the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister said that the double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is setting new development dimensions in every sector. Uttarakhand is on the path of continuous progress and the state government is committed to provide equal benefits of development schemes to every citizen.
