Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that marathons and Raahgiri programs are not only inspirational for social harmony but also for health improvement. Under the Haryana Uday Outreach Program run by the state government, such events are continuously being organized.
Today’s half marathon in Rewari, themed ‘A Run For The Nation,’ is dedicated to the glorious and inspiring life of great freedom fighter Rao Tularam and other valiant martyrs.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering while flagging off the Rewari Half Marathon from Rao Tularam Stadium in Rewari today. He also ran with the thousands of runners present at the half marathon. Besides this, the Chief Minister also paid floral tributes at the statues of brave sons installed at prominent Chowks of the city.
Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, MLA, Sh. Laxman Singh Yadav, and other dignitaries also participated in the half marathon.
The Chief Minister reached Rao Tularam Stadium in the city and offered floral tributes at the portrait of the martyr Rao Tularam and announced the installation of a statue of the brave son Rao Tularam at the stadium. He also said that steps are being taken at the administrative level to simplify the process of constructing a synthetic track in the stadium so that players at the district headquarters can have a better sports environment.
Agniveers to get priority in employment
The Chief Minister said that Rewari district is the land of heroes, and our brave soldiers are standing bravely on the borders of the country. He assured that the government will provide employment opportunities to Agniveers on a priority basis after their service. Saluting this land of heroes, he said that today’s half marathon is proving effective in delivering a positive message to our youth.
Message of Patriotism given Under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign
During the half marathon, the Chief Minister proudly held the national flag in his hand as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, inspiring the youth to move forward with new enthusiasm and energy.
He shared that until August 15, Tiranga Yatras are being organized across Haryana under this campaign, instilling a sense of patriotism in the people and taking a pledge to maintain national unity and integrity.
The Chief Minister himself led the Tiranga Yatra from Rao Tularam Stadium to Abhay Singh Chowk, Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Chowk, and Colonel Ram Singh Chowk, before returning to Rao Tularam Stadium.
Merit-Based Recruitments in Haryana
The Chief Minister said that unlike the old Parchi Karchi tradition, merit-based recruitments are being done in Haryana. He emphasized that the Haryana government will continue to recruit for government jobs transparently based on merit, and urged the youth to focus only on their hard work, dedication, and preparation.
The Chief Minister further said that due to transparent policies of the Haryana government, the benefits are reaching the last person in society. The Haryana government is playing an active role in providing an empowering path to the youth and is contributing to the construction of a strong Haryana by providing a better educational environment, he said.
The Chief Minister said that due to Haryana’s sports policy, the athletes from Haryana have made the nation and the state proud at the Paris Olympics. Under Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s Fit India campaign, Haryana is guiding the youth towards positive energy, raising the nation’s prestige on the world stage. Under the Fit India Movement, the youth are staying away from drugs and focusing on health. He said that along with good health, Haryana will continue to progress towards development.
On this occasion, Tourism Corporation Chairman Dr. Arvind Yadav, Special Officer, Community Policing and Outreach, Sh. Pankaj Nain, and other dignitaries were present.
