CM Bhagwant : Criticizes the opposition for ‘selective blindness’ as they ignore the youth who have been employed.
Continuing ‘Mission Rozgar,’ Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann distributed appointment letters to 497 youth on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone of providing government jobs to 50,892 individuals over the past 35 months.
During the event at Municipal Bhawan, CM Bhagwant handed over job letters for positions in departments such as Water Supply and Sanitation, School Education, Higher Education and Languages, Rural Development, and Science, Technology, and Environment. He emphasized that these youth are now part of the Punjab government’s workforce and will contribute to the state’s socio-economic progress.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted that his government has achieved a record by offering 50,892 jobs within 35 months purely on merit, without corruption or favoritism. He criticized opposition parties for ignoring these employment efforts, accusing them of selective blindness, as they failed to provide similar opportunities during their tenure.
CM Bhagwant reassured that all government vacancies are being filled promptly through a transparent and foolproof recruitment system, ensuring that none of these appointments have faced legal challenges. He cited the recent deportation of youth from the USA as a lesson, urging young people to seek opportunities within Punjab rather than looking abroad.
CM Bhagwant also pointed out that some individuals have secured multiple job offers in the state, leading to a reverse migration trend, where youth previously settled abroad are returning for government jobs. He shared examples, including a couple who returned from Canada to take up government positions.
Calling this a historic moment,CM Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed confidence that these jobs will transform the future of Punjab’s youth. He urged the new recruits to serve the public with dedication and use their roles to uplift underprivileged sections of society.
Cabinet Ministers Harjot Singh Bains and Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, along with senior officials, were present at the event to welcome the new appointees.
