CM Bhagwant Mann launches 508 high-tech ERVs in Sangrur, cutting police response time to 13-14 mins and boosting road safety by 48%.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today inaugurated 508 new high-tech Bolero Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) under the Dial-112 service at Ladda Kothi, Sangrur. With the addition of these state-of-the-art vehicles, police response time during emergencies has dropped dramatically from 30-45 minutes to just 13-14 minutes.
CM Mann emphasized, “We are leaving no stone unturned to modernize the Punjab Police. Over the past four years, our government has allocated ₹327.69 crore for police vehicles.”

He also highlighted the achievements of the Road Safety Force (SSF), which has contributed to a 48% reduction in road accident fatalities. In addition, 12,197 young individuals have been given employment in the police department during the current government’s tenure.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to building a drug-free and safe Punjab, stressing that public safety and modern policing are top priorities.
With these new ERVs, not only will emergency response become faster, but public confidence in the police force is expected to strengthen significantly. CM Mann concluded, “Our goal is to make Punjab safe, modern, and drug-free, ensuring security and peace for every citizen.”
